Width

For curtains you will need to supply the width of the track or pole the curtains will hang on. See our How to Measure for Curtains guide for more detail.

Finished Length

This is the exact length you wish the curtains to be made to (within our tolerance). This will depend on several factors and more information can be found in the curtain measuring guide.

Reveal

A window reveal is the recess where the curtains sit above a window ledge. Curtain poles are normally fitted outside the reveal, tracks can be either inside or outside. Not all windows have a reveal - in this case say outside. Whether the curtains are inside or outside the reveal helps us with considering the curtain fullness.

Lining & Interlining

Lining is used on curtains for various reasons including protecting from the sun and adding weight and luxury. There are several types of lining available, including blackout. Interlining is a fluffy layer, also known as bump, which goes between the show fabric and the lining to give thermal qualities, it also makes the curtains more luxurious. Please see our guide on choosing lining and interlining for more information.

Curtain Header

A curtain header is the style at the top of the curtain. The standard is pencil pleat which can be in a 3" depth or 6" which suits floor length or other long curtains. Read our guide to curtain headings for more information.
