Width
For roman blinds you will need to supply the exact finished width you need the blind to be. See our How to Measure for Roman Blinds guide for more detail. Our maximum width for roman blinds is 2 metres. For wider windows we would recommend multiple individual blinds for best results.
Finished Length
This is the exact length you wish the roman blind to be made to (within our tolerance). This will depend on several factors and more information can be found in the roman blinds measuring guide.
Reveal
A window reveal is the recess where the blind sits, usually above a window ledge. Blinds can be fixed outside the reveal if there is room, covering the whole recess, or within the reveal to just cover the window.
Pulley Side
Roman blinds pull up and down using either cords (for a traditional blind) or a chain (for a more modern cassette system). Which side the pulley is fitted will affect the stringing of the blind. We can quote for both traditional and cassette systems and can supply the cassette.
Lining & Interlining
Lining is an essential part of a blind, also protecting from the sun and adding weight and luxury. There are several types of lining available, including blackout. Interlining is a fluffy layer, also known as bump, which goes between the show fabric and the lining to give thermal qualities, it also makes the curtains more luxurious. Please see our guide on choosing lining and interlining for more information. Please note only lightweight polyester interlining is suitable for roman blinds, and it will only be added if requested.
