Product Description
Metallic Thermal Loose Curtain Lining Panel
The panel is a standard 140cm height and can be purchased by the metre to fit the width of your windows. For a pair of curtains, you would require two panels, each of which should measure as per the individual curtain, plus 10cm.
For example a pair of curtains for a window that is 200cms wide will require two panels at 1 metre each plus 10cms per curtain, therefore for two curtains = 220cms (2.2metres) total.
This would cost out at £27.28 an effective and reasonably priced way to further insulate your room.
This metallic thermal loose curtain lining panel comes complete with header tape and hooks to attatch directly to your own pencil pleat curtain header tape and is perfect for improving warmth in your room plus upgrading the energy efficiency of your home. Metallic curtain lining has a fabric side which is ivory coloured, and a metallic side which reflects heat back, creating a greater effect than standard thermal curtain lining. To reflect heat back into the room, use the lining with the metallic coating against the show fabric, this way the metallic reflective effect is acting into the room.
Heating or Cooling
If reflecting sunlight to keep a room cool is of greater importance, use lining with the metallic coating facing outwards towards the window. If you make the metallic thermal curtain lining up into a loose lining using loose lining tape, you can reverse the lining to face either way as required.
Adding weight to Curtains
Metallic thermal lining has more weight to it than regular lining and is great for:
- Excluding drafts
- Blocking out light
- Giving efficient and effective insulation to your existing curtains
- Giving a return on your investment in energy savings
- Easily installed and removed as seasons demand

Colours can appear differently on screen, so although every care has been taken to represent them accurately, some variations may occur from real life. To check colours are as you expect we recommend you order a sample, to see and feel the fabric in the flesh. Free samples are available for all fabrics! Colours can also vary between dye lots, so please ensure you order enough for your project.
So we can package your fabrics beautifully for posting, they will be taken off the roll and folded. We try our best to always send fabric in one continuous length although this is not always possible, we will contact you if this is the case. Some fabrics are also on sale in our shop in Bridport, Dorset, so on rare occasions stock may not be available where it appears to be online. We do our best to avoid this and many fabrics can be reordered, again if this occurs we will contact you to discuss the options.
To keep your lovely new fabrics in the best condition we recommend checking out the Product Info for details on how to care for them. Washable fabrics should always be hand washed, before cutting and making your projects, in order to allow for shrinkage.
For best results we recommend curtains should be dry-cleaned. To order curtains contact us with your measurements and request a quote.
